LIGHTFAIR® 2010 Call for Speakers
We have implemented a new Call for Speakers system! To familiarize yourself with the new on-line submittal process we recommend you download and print the
LFI 2010 Submittal Instructions.
Please note that the topics outlined in the Call for Speakers are simply guidelines and
we encourage all speakers to submit their angle on any given topic or submit under YOUR IDEA.
All interested speakers are invited to submit a proposal for consideration:
- 1- and 2-Day Institute Courses
- 3-Hour Institute Workshops
- 90-Minute Seminars in 7 Tracks including:
- Inspiration
- NEW! Integrated Building Design & Optimization
- Lighting Design
- Professional Development
- Sustainability
- Technologies
- The Human Benefits of Good Lighting
- … If you don’t see the topic you’d like to present, submit YOUR IDEA!
Timeline & Important Dates

Selection results sent to submitters.
Speaker contracts, bios, and A/V requests due.

LFI Institutes and Conference in Las Vegas.
Submittal Requirements
To be considered as a Conference speaker, you must submit your proposal on-line by midnight, EST, on October 2, 2009.
Your submittal must contain the following:
- A course description (limit 650 characters including spaces, approx. 100 words) indicating relevance to the outlined topic, plus four specific learning objectives.
- Recommended audience(s), level and length of your presentation.
- Pre-requisite list for advanced courses.
- Name, title, mailing address, daytime phone, cell phone, and email of any co-speaker(s) — up to 3.
- Panels are limited to four speakers, including moderator.
- Contact names and titles, addresses, email and phone numbers of two associations or companies for which you have been a speaker, preferably within the last three years, as well as past course titles.
- Additional audio/visual equipment requests (LCD projector, screen and pointer will be provided as standard equipment).
- One completed submittal per course.
- Long bio (limit 1800 character including spaces, approx. 300 words).
- Speaker’s complete contact information.
NOTE: All panels must have a moderator responsible for meeting all deadlines

Submittal Deadline!
The deadline to submit to speak for the 2010 LIGHTFAIR International Trade Show & Conference is midnight, EST, on October 4, 2009.
