Who: LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI) is the premier event for the lighting industry, connecting innovative design, cutting-edge technology and continuing education courses.  For 23 years, LFI has provided a forum for lighting manufacturers to connect with industry professionals from around the world.  The LIGHTFAIR Daylighting Institute® and the LIGHTFAIR Institute® take place as part of the Pre-Conference program on Monday, May 7 – Tuesday, May 8, 2012 and the LFI Trade Show and Conference will run Wednesday, May 9 – Friday, May 11, 2012.

What: LFI Innovation Awards® – The future is here – only at LFI.  Presenters will introduce the latest in product innovations in this quick overview of hundreds of products to be introduced this year.  LIGHTFAIR® will honor and celebrate the industry’s most innovative products and designs with four awards: Design Excellence Award, Technical Innovation Award, Judges’ Citation Award and Most Innovative Product of the Year Award.  LFI exhibitors may submit entries from February 2 – March 2, 2012.

When: Wednesday, May 9 from 8:30am – 10:00am (breakfast at 8:00am); just before the opening of the LFI exhibit hall at 10:00am

Where: Las Vegas Convention Center, Room N109

Cost: $55 in advance / $65 after April 12, 2012.  The Awards are included in the Full Conference Package; please register early for all events as seating is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

New this Year: Based on industry feedback from both attendees and exhibitors, we will be implementing the following changes to the Awards this year:

• Products will be grouped and presented with image, name & company name – descriptions will NOT all be read
• Only the top 3-5 products in each category plus Category & Main Award winners will be presented with  descriptions and judges’ notes
• All products will have descriptions in the LIA brochure and on the LFI website
