About the Speakers

Cody, IALD, CLD, LC, LEED AP is a principal with Dark Light Design, with offices in Seattle and St. Louis. Her 25 years of lighting design experience include a wide variety of project types, from highly detailed historic landmarks to urban-scale master plans. Her other work includes corporate, education, civic, hospitality, and site projects that have been recognized with numerous awards for design and sustainability. Jill is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society and the International Association of Lighting Designers; she is a LEED Accredited Professional, Lighting Certified, and a Certified Lighting Designer. Her industry involvement includes past service in roles with the IES and IALD, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the IALD Education Trust.

Paul Pompeo has over 25 years of experience in executive search, focusing on lighting, electrical, IoT and controls. Pompeo won multiple recruiting awards during his 16 years with Search West in California. He founded Pompeo Group in 2003 and specializes in searches for upper sales, marketing and general management professionals. Pompeo writes ‘The Company/The Candidate’ column for LD+A Magazine and is Past President of the IES in New Mexico. He has been a featured speaker at Lightfair, NAILD and was a featured panelist on the LDA Live! Jobs panel discussion at Lightfair 2019 in Philadelphia.

Joseph Vigil is a Senior Recruiter Associate specializing in electrical and lighting distribution. Joe started with Pompeo Group in February 2018 and was named Recruiter of the year for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Prior to this Joe had 20 years of distinguished service as a paramedic.
