Who does NOT qualify for Media Registration?
  • Non-editorial employees and/or representatives: Marketing personnel (PR, creative services, etc.), Publishing/Sales personnel (publishers, advertising, etc.), Writers & Publishers of personal or corporate newsletters.
  • Family members of legitimate media book authors’ eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • Non-eligible representatives (defined above) are required to register as Attendees.
  • However, PR representatives with exhibiting companies must register as an Exhibitor. A business card and proof of client relationship with an exhibiting manufacturer will be required.
Editorial Photographers

Editors/reporters planning to bring a camera to shoot photographs or video during the show must fill out the form. If you are approved, you will need to obtain and wear the photographer/videographer ribbon provided in the press room (those without the ribbon will be asked to stop shooting and/or leave the trade show floor).

On-Site Registration

LightFair encourages all media to pre-register. If media did not pre-register, they can register on site in the LightFair Media Center at the Javits Center.
Media are required to go to the LightFair Media Center first to be approved and then will need to go to the speaker/media registration to retrieve the badge printed.
Media must provide a business card on site in the LightFair Media Center to the attendant with press credentials, which includes (but is not limited to):

  • Masthead from publication with his/her name and title
  • Recent article in a publication with his/her byline
  • Letter of assignment for a publication (relevant to “freelance” reporters)
  • Press I.D.
